Our District is Big
District 6W Colorado encompasses almost half the state of Colorado. Our borders stretch from Wyoming in the North to New Mexico in the South, and from Utah in the West to roughly the Continental Divide in the East. Our district is mighty and our passion for serving the communities of Western Colorado is even mightier! Traditionally, Lions clubs have aided the blind and visually impaired, championed youth initiatives, and strengthened local communities through hands-on service, financial support, and humanitarian projects. Because we practice “Where there’s a need, there’s a Lion,” our 700 members in 28 clubs regularly adapt and expand our services in many different directions, including diabetes awareness, hunger, childhood cancer, and environment. Since 1917, Lions Clubs International has become the world’s largest service club organization with about 1.4 million members in 200+ countries and geographical. We are proud to be an important part of that service model in our communities, district, and state. |
